A good place to be I enjoyed my stay. Just thought breakfast could have slightly more fresh food.

The room was a little too hot with no way of cooling except leaving window open.

Decent hotel very close to downtown. I would've preferred somewhere other than this hotel, (The Captain Cook, Westmark, Anchorage Hilton) something more "right in the middle of downtown. However all my preferred places were totally booked full. But this hotel was perfectly fine and worked out nicely.

Great Time in Alaska I had a great Visit to Alaska to see my son. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. I plan to stay there again next visit!!!

The staff was wonderful. Although the hotel was not very close to downtown area the staff was very helpful to us providing shuttle service if we needed it. The staff were all warm and friendly . The manager Cindy was very professional and very nice.

clean hotel downtown The hotel was nothing special, but it was clean and close to downtown. It is an extended stay hotel, so they don't clean your room unless you stay longer than a week. You have to pay $10/day for parking.

August 2013 Stayed in ESA- Downtown Anchorage for 5 Nights. Pros-Proximity to downtown dining, shopping and attractions was good. Got around Anchorage by foot the entire stay. Cons -Hotel Shuttle from airport was late, and overbooked. Requires 24hr notice, though it didn't make a difference we got turned down twice because the van was full. Room was clean, though had a musky smell. Advertised coffee/tea 24 hrs in lobby and it was out for maybe 3. Staff was unprofessional (wrinkled clothes, not personable). I would not chose to stay there again Reserved a non-smoking room, received a smoking room because they overbooked non-smoking rooms. > Not enough hotel property parking so you have to find parking on the street. > Mattress was uncomfortable/cheap. > Continental breakfast was terrible, did not even serve juice or water.

Satisfactory! Expensive for what you get, but everything in Anchorage is expensive.
