I chose this particular hotel for convenience near the university along with price. The hotel is a wholly non-smoking facility. When we checked in, the first room given to us was so saturated with cigarette smoke that we immediately requested a change. We were given a different room which thankfully was decent. However the room had no washcloths or toilet paper. These issues were easily remedied. My biggest issue was that they do not have an ice machine.... at all. It was such a shock. good basic choice a very good choice for a basic nights stay. . . .I paid very low rate. . . not sure what rate would normally apply but I was happy with overall experience

Sort of a Mini-vacation Hotel staff very welcoming at check-in and check-out was a breeze. My husband and I were very comfortable in our room. We were actually in Houston on business for 2 nights but staying in the hotel close to nice shopping areas and restaurants made it feel like a mini-vacation. Will go back again soon.
