On October 8, 2025 we checked in for our stay at the Extended Stay in Pleasanton, CA with a reservation for two rooms. Upon arrival, the desk agent was only knowledgeable and willing to check in one of our rooms. When I returned to the desk with a copy of my Expedia reservation in hand explaining that we had a second room, there was another younger guy working who apologized and checked in our second room. No response from frontdesk. Breakfast was a pack-and-go: basically they had on option for muffin/bar .. nothing else. Room was still old except new flooring. Water drainage issues seen

😩 Sorry, but bed was hard as a rock, toilet paper holder broken before I even got there, no ice machine, refrigerator was small with open door Tiny freezer, carpet stained and frayed.

So frustrating when the pool is closed and they don't even give you a discount or tell you ahead of time. Very disappointing

We've used Extended-Stays across the country and will continue to do so as long as the rates remain reasonable. One problem noticed at Pleasanton were squatters and apparent homeless individuals sharing one room and avoiding staff. Further was the stuffy airflow in the hallways that reeked, a little, of cooking. We noted this in Miami as well. Suggest remediation of air flow to maintain a fresh atmosphere in the hallways.
