More than we expect I would like to give this hotel 5 stars due to friendly front desk young ladies, this location across Public Plaza with other restaurants & ice cream, easy get to Savannah historic downtown, mall, etc..... With the kitchen inside the room even we don't use it all the time but make us feel comfortable if we need it. The pricing associate with the room so we don't expect luxury service. Very enjoy our trip in Savannah! :)
You get what you pay for, but this was worse We needed to check in early, but the front desk was rude and unwilling to help. They were rude and firm about a 3pm check in while stating that rooms weren't available, yet most of the 1st floor rooms were cleaned and ready. The A/C unit in our room didn't work, nor did the phone, and the room had an odor to it. Mattresses were ultra hard. Only positives were that they had extra coffee packets at the desk. Pay the extra $ and stay in the Historic part or anywhere but there.
Never again!! We were suppose to have 2 rooms with 2 beds. However, when we checked in we only had one room with 2 beds and one with one bed. The clerk gave us some blankets and told us we could sleep on the floor. One of the rooms smelled of smoke and had water accumulated on the floor.
Awful the rooms were dirty, smelled like cigarettes, the location is in a bad part of town. the only positive thing is that the staff was pleasant. I will never stay in this hotel again.
Needs serious renovation in the rooms Just a few things: The beds were hard enough to cause numbness in our limbs multiple times during the night. The carpets were damp. Two of the six dryers were out of order, the detergent dispensers and change machines in the laundry were out of order. One pillow provided per person, no extra blankets or pillows were available upon inquiry. The "fully stocked" kitchenette featured one pot, one pan, two plates, two bowls, two glasses and two forks ...oh, and one spatula.
business trip, attended a day-long seminar the room was clean, but the bed linen was not of a top quality ( the blanket looked worn out). I will still recommend this hotel to my friends for its reasonable rates.
Requested Non-smoking and checked into a smoking The first thing I noticed was the smell of smoke in the room. When I notified the manager he said, "really, it is a non-smoking room." I told him come look at the 2 ash trays and smell the smoke." He did not have any other rooms. He added that it meant someone had knowinlg allowed a smoker to rent the room. End of that story. Then when we pulled the covers back, we noticed a hair on the sheets. We contacted the front desk and the girl gave us clean sheets. This was an awful ex... read more
Good Location....but needs "updating"!!! Hotel was located in a "GREAT" location, near many restaurants, mall, main streets, not far from the historic district. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly!! B-U-T, the hotel itself "needs a lot of updating"!!!! When we walked into our room (n/s room), it still had a "musty, stale" smell in it. The AC unit was barely working, at the end of our stay, the TV wouldn't work by means of the remote or directly by the TV....we had to just "unplug it" to make it go off. The water pr... read more
ok for 1 night stay The bathroom did not have tooth paste or shampoo. Price was ok for one night stay. But I did like the full size fridge and small kitchen area but I did not get to use it.
