Two days before Christmas, thieves broke in thru the rear fire gate and for 8 hours proceeded to empty out valuable items from over 70 units, including mine. So much for the on-site manager who never heard the grinders going ALL NIGHT! They have done NOTHING different since then. I obviously moved what little I had left. Didn't know at the time of renting a unit, but Extra Space is well known for break-ins. Put your valuables there at your OWN RISK!

I was initially so thrilled with Extra Space Storage. They were friendly and thorough with my move in, and I became a walking advertisement for them. I told many friends and family members how happy I was with my 5x8 storage unit. When a note came in the mail after just 4 months that there was a rate increase from $105-$133 based on market conditions, I was surprised, but I figured that it was a tolerable increase and still well worth it. Got a call and vcmail from Elsa about a storage unit that opened. When I called back 3 min later she had sold it to someone else. If you call people don't leave a vcmail knowing you will sell the space once you reach someone live. This scenario is a good example of lack of customer service, why have a wait list defeats the purpose. When I pointed this out to her she got defensive and said "oh well." Customer obsession, training of employees and better business model needed.

Storage was fine, no complaints. Secure, clean, great on site managers. I was there for several years, a couple small rent increases but ok. Problem was a sudden rent increase of 66%. So I moved, got a bigger space for a lot less nearby. I don't recommend Extra Space Storage...
Still keeping my crap safe. Thank you. The woman that signed me up was super nice and not super imposing on trying to get me this or that extras. Just rent to me. I pay. I keep my crap here. It makes home feel more like a home. And my storage is for the crap I don't want to see but once a year, Halloween costumes, bizarre covid masks, Christmas ornaments, weird shit I buy at thrift stores that I only wear once in a blue moon. I had a storage here at this location. I recently came and and got all of my belongings OUT. I was paying $300 a month. No problem. I felt it was a little pricey, but I thought it was a nice clean place. Well place is clean and nice, but customer service SUCKS. I pulled up one afternoon, and as I got out of my car, the lady that works there and lives upstairs or manages the place comes half way out the door on the phone and tells me without me even speaking to her and proceeds to tell me to read the door. YES BEWARE! It could have a been a 5-star review because the space is fine and so is the access. However 5 months after I signed up Extra Space increased my rate by $24/month. When I called they said I had a short-term "promotional" rate. This was complete news to me! It's an easy tactic: rent at a competitive price, and once the person moves in, raise it arbitrarily. Renters BEWARE! They will do everything they can to get you in; Give you a grand tour of the property, offer the use of their box truck, and even a great First Month Discount. Once you're in, it's different story. The "know-it-all" attitude reveals itself with the 2 managers on duty (Husband and Wife duo). Rates increased for us more than 25% in the 4 months we were there.
