Complete and utter lack of sympathy and regard for my family and I. My storage unit was destroyed by rain water from the ceiling during the heavy rains San Diego had during December. Their lack of maintenance caused black mold to fester, and puddles of rancid water to develop, destroying 3/4 of my items. I made multiple dump runs to get rid of my belongings. It was clean, secure, the staff very helpful and friendly, and just down the hill from home. However...they raised the rent several times, much higher than any other facility in the area. I finally moved my stuff out and into the same size unit elsewhere for $100 less per month.

I've rented a space from this facility for almost 5 years and was recently affected financially by COVID-19. I called my location to ask for a temporary reduction in the monthly rental fee which has skyrocketed over 50% during the past 4 1/2 years (I now pay $1.84 a square foot per month for a storage unit as compared to $2.14 a square foot per month for a 3 bedroom apartment with tons of amenities). If I could give this company 0 stars I would. We have had our stuff stored here for the past few months now with no issues until recently they decided to change out the doors on the storage units. They said they sent out letters to inform everyone but we never received ours. It wasn't until we went to get stuff from the unit that we realized everything was put back wrong and stuff was broken and missing. WORST STORAGE EVER! I wasn't told I had to give proof of my renters insurance to the facility so they charged me more then $30 a month extra to cover my small storage space for months. Also, they wouldn't reimburse me once I showed them proof of coverage. Then they had the nerve to tell me they are raising rent $10 a month for a small storage. This place is taboo. Stay away!!
Possibly the WORST storage place ever! You can only dump one box of trash no matter if you pay high prices for this place. Management seem incompetent of pricing when asked a question even if it's the manager being asked the question. Save your time and money and go down the street to American Eagle storage where they are much friendlier and willing to help.
Friendly staff. Expensive rates that increase substantially after about 8 months. Mandatory insurance unless you prove you have your own. I followed the staff's instructions on how to provide proof of insurance through your provider (USAA) but they claimed to not receive it. I've had my storage unit for over a year now and one thing I don't like about this company is that they increase the monthly rent every 5 months. I've tried to get a clear explanation as to why this happens but it still didn't make any sense to me. I've moved all of my things twice now to save some money and now I'm just hoping that by the beginning of next year I won't need a storage place anymore. The management isn't bad, but nothing spectacular. I've had my unit for less than a year and have experienced 2 big increases in rent and was paying more than double when I decided to move my things. The increase notices would state it was for insurance which should really be determined on the value of the items stored, which for mine would be minimal. There are storage spaces for quite less and closer to where I live now I'll be using.
