Over the years, I've rented many storage units in different cities. This is the first time that i have experienced this particular problem to a degree I felt was unfair. I'd definitely give this 4-5 starts, except for one glaring issue: They (the company policies) are very financially aggressive. They repay customer loyalty with never-ending significant price hikes. If I could is would say zero stars. They are pushy, rude and don't take No for an answer. Truly frustrating. They call at all hours and simply won't leave you alone. I will not ever use this company. Especially with all the storage options available in the area. AVOID THESE GUYS IF YOU CAN!
This Storage company refuses to work with their customers! My husband and I wanted to rent a 10X20 unit but instead we were given two 10x10 units side-by-side. Once we moved our belongings in we realized we only needed one of the 10x10 units. But when we tried to cancel the empty unit we were told we can't do that because it's "in the system as one 10x20 unit." We were told when we became a customer that we would have the opportunity to pay annually and lock in the current rate as well as get the 13th month free. This in fact is NOT TRUE. I missed doing it last year and made sure to mark my calendar for this year, but when the time came to pay I was told that was not an accurate option. I was told my case would be reviewed and depending on the demand for my size storage I could get a price adjustment. I am dealing with the aftermath of a recent burglary from this facility in which I lost nearly $10,000 of stuff. My unit was an interior unit, inside one of the buildings (not climate controlled, but still indoor access). The security in this facility appears adequate - there's a gate with keypad that controls access to the facility, exterior video cameras, plus individual alarms on each unit, and my big padlock on the unit itself. Be careful with this storage company. I decided to go with them because the manager was able to give me a wonderful deal. Then a couple of months later I get a notice in the mail saying they've increased their fees and my next month's bill will be higher. Unbelievable!
