Super convenient and I feel so secure keeping my things there - it feels very safe. The level of customer service I've experienced here has been so far above and beyond what I expected from self storage. Tom the manager is very professional and I always feels he's looking out for me and taking good care of my stuff! I would highly recommend it!
First of all the bad reviews for Tom are from people trying to hide wrongdoing of some sort ,its obvious.On to more obvious subjects.This gentleman Tom was nothing but helpful,polite,and a real pro at what he does.I was in a real bind not knowing whether to move my stuff to another unit or STATE at a moments notice.I told this gentleman of my problem and he took the time to find me a larger unit at a moments notice.Furthermore he was clearly very busy and sensed my urgency but helped anyway.He did not have to do what he did ... read more
Not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. This place is great and Tom is super nice and considerate. The facility is very clean, safe, and well protected. I would definitely recommend this storage facility. The location is great since it's very close to the Good Will, so you can quickly and easily donate anything you don't want to store.
The Studio City Extra Space facility is one of the best I've ever used. I was at the Concord Ca facility before relocating to Studio City. Concord was good but the Studio City facility is the best so far. I have been at the Studio City facility for almost 8 years now. The facility is always kept very clean, I have never seen any kind of pest or even dust build up, which amazed me. Do not rent from Extra Space Storage. 1. Hidden in their agreement is that they can (and do) raise your rent at any time. 2. After ONE MONTH at the advertised rate that I signed up for ($167/mo) they raised it by 50%!!! 3. Without notice!!! 4. Only when I called them on this did they agree to a PARTIAL refund, and would not guarantee future increases would not happen. My unit was broken into, and several thousand dollars worth of items were stolen. I filed a police report, and the manager on-site did absolutely nothing to help me, offered me no discount to move into a new unit, and barely acknowledged my grievances. The manager even refused to provide surveillance footage, which has me suspecting that it was an inside job. Your belongings are not safe here!

I urge you to think twice if you are considering renting at this location or any other. Someone broke into my unit and stole two paintings, a large box that contained my son's new (1) school clothes for this fall, a (2) brand-new set of towels and (3) books, and photo album of my kids when they were young along with (2) two very large and expensive hampers, and my flute. I'm not sure if I should be writing this review or not, but here goes: I was looking for storage space and called these people. I got a super annoying person on the phone at some call center who went through her prepared script, saying annoying things. She answered the phone with: "It's a beautiful day here at Extra Space Storage, who am I speaking with please?" OMG. Seriously? I asked her to stop using her script and to answer my questions. I don't know where to start with this location. I just moved all my stuff right down the street to Public Storage. My grievances are solely with Tom, the Manager at this location. Michelle (I believe this is her name ) who works on Friday and Saturday is amazingly nice. Its ashame that this company lets Tom be the manager because I am sure they lose plenty of customers because of it.
