Not a safe place to leave your stuff in storage. Security gate broke early in the week and its been open all week and into the weekend. Ending up with my boat that we stored there for 15 years is now stolen. Staff doesn't seem to care they took 12 hours to call me after they noticed my boat was apart of a very large heist there. Several boats and trailers stolen over the week of the gate broken. You figure they would fix the gate asap or have a secruity guard sitting there but nothing. AGAIN...raising my Rent. But hey, never fear...I found one at $75 a month in Allied Gardens, closer to my MV home...but this time, I asked them in advance: "How many times can I expect a rental rate increase, because ESS has raised mine 3 times now!?" ...They said NEVER...oh Giggity!! Guess I'll be moving there SOON! NOT Happy with Extra Space at ALL...and I have really NEVER been blown away from the weak frowning customer service I get from those men there!
BEWARE! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!! NOT SAFE! We got broken into twice and the people working here just said "Oh Yeah that happens, sorry!" Someone picked our locks, not once but twice! We were only planning to rent for a few months! Only reason I came here was because I used them once before, but it was under a different company!
UNIT WAS BROKEN INTO 2 WEEKS AFTER MOVING IN. Theft happens, though never to me before this but that is not why they deserve 1 star. They get one star because the facility has made no attempt to assist in the investigation. It took 8 phone calls just to have a manager call me back, and even then the guy spoke hostilely toward me when I challenged them on why they hadn't reviewed the video footage 2 weeks post the theft. This was a very bad place for me. My experience with extra space. Was not right. From the beginning. There are no directions .arrows. . and more. I was always. getting lost. Never again would I store my things there and definetly do not advise anyone else to
For the most part the two desk clerks Angel and another young lady are very helpful. I had an issue with my bill. I then received a call back from the facility manager which was very unprofessional. The manager was very aggressive from the start, I have no problem paying my bill but I just wanted help understanding it. The manager laughed at me and pretty much was a flat out bully. So when looking for storage, everybody usually uses the internet for the best deals. That is how i came across extraspace storage, they gave a good internet rate, so i took it up and went there. If I could give a negative, I would. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The staff are horrible to work with. They like to say one thing over the phone or while the manager is out of the room and then act like that was never said. The manager thinks that by saying "we have all worked here for 10 years" is a validation for incompetent staff. They will also just gladly charge you for things that you never asked for and misquote you and act like it's your fault or responsibility.
