Due to a tragic accident, my daughter’s hamster was left injured and needed euthanizing. Unfortunately we only had one vet option with it being a weekend, so we took Coco to Family Pet Hospital & 24 Hour Pet Emergency Centre. The staff had zero empathy for the situation and continued to charge us over $300. $98 alone for an assessment, when they could clearly see she was suffering. They charge so much money, and they make you pay more for their mistakes! This place is horrible. I'd never take my dog here, but unfortunately she went missing and they did bring her here of all places, they missed a lot of quills and they are going to charge me more to take the rest out. My best friend and cat, Gus, was peeing everywhere in my house, and he had a tiny cough, so I booked him for an annual check-up. During that time: The clinic rushed my 2-hour visit, misdiagnosed my buddy's condition, prescribed steroids to a PREDIABETIC cat (which ultimately ended up killing him), and didn't correctly triage my cat for his problems. I took my 15.5 year old dog there on Friday because I came home and found her unable to stand or walk, her gums were white and she was overall just not doing well. They took her to the back right away and said they put her on oxygen and prepped for an IV. They then came out with a form they wanted me to sign authorizing $950 + exam fee. They only care about the $$$ if you don’t have large deposits they will refuse work to be done in emergency situations!
