Called , could not get appointment so I walked in . Was told there was a 2 hour wait . That turned into almost 4 hours . People who got there 2 hours after me , got to go ahead of me . I was not even asked what my problem was until after the nurse took my vitals .
I was the second person in the building to sign in at 8 a.m. It took way too long to be called to the back. Once I was taken to exam room, the CMA or nurse was rude and impersonable. The nurse practitioner was very dry. She did not even address all my symptoms. I don’t go to the Dr unless I am very ill, and she seemed to act as if I were not sick at all. Will not come back! Nor will I recommend anyone go there.

I had a very, very sore throat and fluid on my ears. I was told to come back if not better in a week. I would have liked to have been given something to help me rest or at least a suggestion of what to buy over the counter to help with the pain and discomfort.
The front desk lady is rude, and the nurse that came in to get my vitals acted liked she didn’t care and would rather be doing anything but what she was doing. The dr was okay, but she pushed how I was feeling off to the side.
Well, my foot was swollen and ankle so big my toes were going numb my leg was even swollen. I was there over 2 hours and was told I had fluid. Yeah, I kind of knew that before I got there. I was told to go to the dr the next day which would be a Saturday. So there are no drs open on Saturday or Sunday . I have gone here a lot but I think this was my last trip. I just could not believe it. I could have had a blood clot or anything. But tomorrow is Monday so maybe I can get in who knows a total wasted trip. It was a pa but I ... read more
I had an appointment go 11:12 pm. I waited an hour before I was called. Into an exam room. A nurse did a throat culture for a strep test. 20 minutes later a nurse practitioner came in the room, shared that results weee negative, asked about my symptoms and looked at my throat and said I had drainage and to take otc meds for symptoms. Her exam took less than 2 minutes. I don’t feel like her assessment was thorough enough, and I wasted $50 on a copay and an hour of my time.
Not very well in my opinion this go around, nobody took my temperature I told them several times my symptoms and they asked me what tests I want done? I understand about asking if I want a COVID test done but for you to not even do anything yet and ask right away what tests I want done? When they did check my ears and throat they never even really looked just glanced and said okay you have a virus . Well considering my ears hurt everytime I swallow and how bad my throat hurts on top of that I would think it is more than a vi... read more
I waited over an hour and watched other walk-in patients come and be seen before me, only for the secretary to ask who I was because the clinic forgot about me. I was sitting right in front of the desk the whole time too. Registering was also a nightmare because the secretary kept talking down to me and we nearly had to start the whole registration process over. She also kept assisting other people and just leaving me confused by the desk because she wouldn’t just focus on getting me checked in.
Just moved to Winchester within the past 6 months and have not been unable to locate a new primary. With no other financial alternative, I went to First Care. My first visit , Haylee Wright, was very attentive, warm and caring. She explained things well. I left the appointment feeling good about my health condition. After a morning follow up visit two days later, where I was seen by two NP’s, I felt like I intruded on their day and was quickly dismissed, referred to the ER as they didn’t want to deal with my issues. Sad... read more
