I saw Dr. Steve Tu. He was excellent as was the support staff. Dr Tu was extremely thorough and explained to me what floaters are and what to look for for worsening symptoms. Floaters are something I had asked to be examined for in addition to my regular checkup. I felt very well taken care of from the time I went to the front desk to the time I left.
I am very pleased with my experience at the Dr. Fischman Eye center, It was a world away from previous experiences elsewhere. It was wonderful to be treated with such professionalism and care. They truly are the best. I am very grateful for all of their kindness and offer of water, apple juice and delicious Loorna Doone's cookies following my procedure and 18 hour fast. I appreciate their follow-ups and willingness to answer all questions. A big thank you to all of them.

The environment is very caring. The nurses are very skilled and responsive. They cover all the bases, from medical to noticing things like I could use another warm blanket. Of course, Dr. Fichman is the best, and I had every confident placing myself in his care for this surgery. I have had excellent results. I have already had occasion to recommend Dr. Fichman, based on the overall experience and outcome.

I recently had laser surgery for my cataracts. Although I was nervous any surgery involving my eyes, the staff and doctors quickly put me at ease. The procedure was quick, virtually pain free. I was home about an hour after the procedure. THe staff and doctors are very attentive about you as a patient before, during and after the procedure. Any questions or concerned are addressed immediately. I highly recommend Fichman Eye Center.
I had my appointment in the New Britain office. Everyone was very nice although from the time I arrived for my 2:30 appointment, I did not see the doctor until 3:30. The one area I think where improvement can be made is in the paperwork you are expected to complete if you have been a previous patient. There were about 6 pages handed to me when I checked in at the desk. On several pages the same information was requested so I had to enter this multiple times. New process is needed.
