We had the best time, wesat outdoors on the patio, they brought over umbrellas. While not the ideal for large groups as there is a lot of time away from the table, my kids loved it, and found stuff to eat while staying picky as eaters, my wife had the best omlet she has ever had. It is a unique experience, great for foodies, and different enough not to have a line on Mother's Day. I will definitely be back and recommend this find to you. See you there, I will soon be a regular from 25 miles away.
This restaurant is one of my favorites! You get to be creative and get exactly what you want. The cooks are very entertaining and friendly. Thank you for making my Mother's Day brunch wonderful.
I didn't really know what to expect when walking into Fire And Ice. From the website, I had a vague idea. It was my boyfriend and my anniversary so we wanted to go somewhere nice, but different and this was definitely what we were looking for. The chefs are a great source of entertainment by themselves; watching the food being grilled probably made the night that much better. These guys are talented. Great place. Lots of choices. Only small complaint I had is the waiter told us Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Philly Cheesesteaks area available -- but didn't explain that the way you get those items is to pick up the ingredients yourself from the service buffet and then the chefs would put them on the proper bread. But we figured it out after our second trip through the buffet.
I first visited Fire & Ice back in 1997/1998 in Boston. I went back several times since then. When I heard that an Anaheim location opened, I immediately made reservations. The meat/veggie selection has decreased substantially. The ambiance was not as nice as what I remembered. Our waitress vanished without notice. We have been to this restaurant twice now. Both times have been real fun times. The fun is in the concept of the restaurant. It's all you can eat and you can eat whatever you like. Everything is fresh on ice for you to chose your own meal in whatever proportions you like and any combo you like. Really liked the place. Anytime I'm going to be in the area I will be dining there.
Atmosphere was very modern. Threesome fries were good! I had the shake n bake. There wasn't a dress code & it wasn't uppity.
The concept of making your own food and having it cooked it front of you is great. Few restaurants in the area offer this fun environment. Food is good and is basic for the simpler palate. Service was slow however and seemed very chaotic and unorganized. Noise level was really loud so it's good for large groups, but not so good for small, intimate groups.
