This place is awesome. I still had to wait 30min even though I made reservations. Even though I had to wait it was worth it. Once you start cooking your own fod you understand why people like to kick it. I had an awesome time with my fiance . I highly recommend it.
I took my daughter here for her birthday. We were down on vacation and this place looked fun. I met up with some family that lives here and was hoping to play catch up but they sat us outside and had a DJ playing music so loud we couldn't even talk to eachother. The food was amazing though and they mad my daughter feel really special.
This was not our first visit. In the past year we have visited F&I five times. We have brought family as well as dined as just a couple and we have always had a great time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They grill staff is AWESOME! We were happy to see the return of the flashing light as it gives people a direction to go in when lining up for your food to be cooked. Though it was a busy convention weekend the lines went fast. We love this place. We went on a double date and treated the other couple to this place. They said they definately plan on coming back soon!
The food was pretty good, but the price was a bit ridiculous. $17 for an endless fresh-grill, Mongolian style dining is a bit high for the hamburger/hot dog eaters. Their happy hour, however, wasn't terrible. Like I said, the food is good if you're ready to spend 40 bucks for two.
The place is very small... not like the location in Boston. We went for lunch so there was a smaller selection of meats which was OK. The wait staff was weak. To add to this lameness, my dad was picking up the tip (he always tips regardless) and as the waitress laid down the bill (which I picked up) my dad gave the waitress her tip - $20. Oh yes, she took it. I then opened the bill as she walked away and there was an 18% gratuity tacked on.. So, she got basically a $40 tip for doing basically nothing. This was our fourth time at F&I and as usually we had a good time. The cooks are entertaining and easily approachable. The food is fresh and we find it fun to mix and match items. We will be back.
This is one of my favorites, but it has changed a lot over the years since its 1st opening. What used to be a fun restaurant with upbeat service has changed a bit to less energetic service and become more of a typical restaurant. That is also the same with the center it sits in, so that probably has something to do with it. You choose your mixtures of foods and the chefs cook it up for you on a grill (mongolian bbq style), and choices can include burgers, hot dogs, pastas, and/or rice dishes.
