Absolutely loved it! The choices were unbelievable. Who knew you could cook a fantastic pasta w/meatballs on a stone grill (so yummy). Tried other items and all were great. There was something for everyone, including my 21 month old granddaughter (perfect finger foods).
Another Restaurant I hit up for OC Restauran Weel. So this is Mongolian BBQ meets American style food. I took someone who had never been here before so she was kind of skeptical of what kind of dish to make. I say the the 2 salads offered can have healthier lettuce but the sides were the usual (opnions, olives, cheese, etc.) The meat & seafood selection was average. 1 red meat cut, chicken breast, seafood (tuna,scallops,calamari,shrimp). Their food was amazing, a lot of choices for meats! They grill the food right in front of you, very great!
I really like the energetic feel of this place. The food was great; there's a variety that I can choose from. The chefs were great and funny. Our waiter was very friendly and has a great sense of humor. I would come back again to try other things that I haven't try while I was there.
Decent food, but over-hyped. They need more chefs. For not actually waiting tables, the service was really lacking. I had to ask for rice two times before I received it. When we were obviously done with dinner, the waitress asked if we wanted anything else. It took another 15 minutes before she came by to ask if we wanted anything else again. All I wanted was the check. I live about 45 minutes away, and would definitely not make the trip again to eat here. If I might I I happened to be in the area.
It's like mongolian bbq meets Benihana. Lots of fun and lots of food!
They were good overall however they lack to tell you all the details of how things work. You figure it out but people were aggravated by not knowing to stand at the flashing light. Nobody could figure out which way to enter the restaurant. Maybe a sign as you approach as to which direction to go. By the way it's to the left not right even though everyone goes to the right and has to circle around.
Great food I guess from all the hype we expected more of an atmosphere and an experience than we got.. You literally sit down, take a tour and do everything yourself which is fine we just thought the restaurant itself always seems to look great from the outside and would be a more fun experience in dining. Its like any sort of buffet restaurant but with a certain type of food (which again is really good) but don't go in expecting much else than that..
best mongolia type grille/restaurant i've experienced. ingredients are plentiful and fresh. service was good, the margarita pitcher could have been stiffer or bigger for the price. but overall, would come back for the food.
