We renting from this company for our family vacation to Breckenridge. We waiting in line over an hour to rent our car. Then got in it and it was so DIRTY! They didn't even clean it from the last renters. Then once we Returned it we noticed that we left our iPad in there. We located it at their facility, and took a taxi back to there to claim it. They claimed they didn't have it even though my app said it was there. So apparently they have Thieves that work there. I do not recommend them at all and will never use them again! ... read more

As with many other reviewers, I signed up for a Fox rental because it had a cheap listing and then when I landed in Ft Lauderdale I was not allowed to rent a car without purchasing Fox's overpriced insurance. Literally the guy would not let me. When I kept insisting over and over and over that I had already gotten insurance through the booking agency and I didn't want Fox's insurance, he LIED and told me that this insurance doesn't meet Florida requirements. STAY AWAY FROM FOX RENT A CAR. I booked a SUV with www.carrentals.com for $195.57 plus $72.00 of Insurance. On front desk the support guy told me that I have to pay some fees that other rentals like Hertz does not Charge. He offer an upgrade in insurance that I accepted. STAY AWAY! Fox Rental failed to refund my husband's credit card for the hoax insurance charge most do not need and we did not need for Lost Damage Waiver.The sales agent at the counter should not have lied to us, forcing us to buy unnecessary insurance that doubled the cost of our original estimate when we pre-reserved the vehicle. ZERO STARS Lesson learned - don't use these guys. I lost $220 here. Their website is tricky and before you know it, you may prepay. And, they charge a $150 refundable deposit that you have to fight to get back. Bottom line, I clicked through the purchase, they would not let me cancel or change (even add to!) the reservation. No Stars. Customer Service is horrible. I rented a car, had to take back next morning for transmission pull. Took 2 hours to Swap me another car by a lady helping me while on her Instagram at the same time, just for my receipt to be a different price and had to go back and resolve this. No stars. I encountered the same situation (scam) as Gerald D. The car I rented was damaged in an accident. Ms. McCarty demanded payment from me (via email) because she could not locate AAA's (the responsible party's insurance) contact information. After I supplied AAA's (they were waiting for Fox to contact them to pay the claim) contact information, AAA paid the claim submitted by Fox Rental Car.
