My experience with fox rental was very unpleasant. I rented two cars since the trip was with 10 people. when we got to the rental ***** they told me there is a limit of 1 car per person to rent. Where was that on the website when i rented the cars then? it said nothing about only being able to rent 1 car. After arguing with them for about an hour they finally gave us 2 cars. I got completely screwed on my last rental. We rented a car in March if 2020 and did the 'pay now' to ensure we would have the vehicle secured. We were told the shuttle would pick up every fifteen minutes to take us from the airport to the rental location. An hour went by only for the shuttle to show up (mean while it was 11:00 pm at night, cold and I had 3 of my nieces with me, ages 12, 6 and 3). My experience with the Fox Rent-A-Car company was awful, to say the least. Upon arriving to pick up the car there was an extremely long line with only three employees there to serve the customers. The first thing I noticed was the lack of social distancing within the business and most importantly the irresponsible use of masks by the employees themselves. Rented a car from Fox in fort Meyers, paid them 304.00 plus security deposit of 150.00. since it was during covid, the woman behind the counter said we had to purchase bridge sun pass ** 11.00 a day which turned out to be 11.99. and we only passed * times. I was very disappointed to arrive at the location and see that there was only 2 out of 9 registers open. The line was extremely long and congested. My logic, as well as several other people would be the more lines open the quicker in and out people would be. It just seems that there could be a more efficient system that is also safer. On Saturday August 8, there was an extremely high up charge for the Uber fares, so my boyfriend decided to rent a car on Priceline. We chose a mid size SUV and the transaction was paid for in advance. We took the escalator to the car rental terminal, only to see that it was closed and we had to wait at the booth in the parking garage. It is a wonder how they are still in business. I booked with them because of the rate I found through Priceline- my father actually warned me against them because they lost his reservation in a previous rental reservation and he said it was a nightmare.
