I recently rented a vehicle from Fox Rent a Car. The car I chose online, was a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Instead of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the only car available was a 2019 Misubishi Outlander - not even close to a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I asked why they don't have the car I rented and they told me that it said "Jeep Grand Cherokee or something similiar". I do not consider an Outlander even close to similiar to a Grand Cherokee. To whom it may concern, I rented a car from Fox Rent-a-car at San **** Airport on 7/18, due to return 7/27 and experienced a variety of issues. 1) The type of car reserved was not available. This is the 4th time in a row that was the case (I am a frequent renter). this was the worst car rental I have ever had. was told I was more than 3 hours late so they cancelled my car that was supposed to $101.00 and then put me in a SUV instead of a care and told me no additional charge but price went to $128.00. then said I had to take toll package because would be going thru many many tolls which cost $15.00 each I am from Missouri and don't have tolls so I didn't know that it was a lie. We recently booked through Priceline and declined all additional services with the exception of a toll tag, which we were told would cost $15. Everything was verbal and then we signed a digital keypad, got in our car left. When we turned in the car, they gave us a receipt. A day later a charge showed up on my credit card for more than the original price of the rental. The receipt we got had line items in codes that were not discernable. The customer service at the San Diego airport location was terrible. I pre-paid for a vehicle went to pick up our rental but since it was just a minute before closing they refused to help me and said there was nothing they could do. I have been renting cars for over 20 years. I have rented from Alamo, Hertz, Enterprise, Avis and the like. FOX A CAR IS THE WORST!
