Great experience. We had a good time and the food and people were wonderful
We’ve been to FT for many occasions and anniversaries of those important dates. We started with the puffed brie severed with fresh cut fruit and baguette slices. Very good. I had the NY with blue cheese medium rare was perfect! My wife had tasty scallops. Ww ordered mint chip pie to go. For some odd reason, it wasn’t served until obvious stares back to the kitchen. If they closed the meal with dessert promptly it would have been a 5 star.
OMG, We had the best dinner and time at Friar Tuck's. We enjoyed our table by the oak tree and the live music after dinner in the bar. Everyone was so friendly and helped with our menu selection because it was our first time there and to Nevada City. We are coming back!!
Our waitress was very nice and the food was amazing
Friar Tucks is a unique and great experience. The wait staff can be very busy, but are still very attentive. The owner noticed my son was getting very sleepy and gave him a small flashlight to play with. It was very thoughtful.
Very good food and drink in the heart of Nevada City. A super stop before the theater events or for a drink and music later in the evening.
We had the best time, but it was a little loud. My boyfriend got his food and almost ate it before I even got my salad.
We celebrated my son's 21st birthday at friar tucks. They went above and beyond to make it special and the food was amazing as usual.
There was too much distance between the seats (too low?) & the table (too high?) to comfortably manipulate the fondue. I'm 5'8", my friend 6'0", so there's no reason for the problem -- I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would have been, if we were shorter then average. It made cooking the fondue more work than casual fun. IF we go back, we'll ask for a different table & check the relationships before committing to eat there.
