Good food. Nice ambience. Steamed clams we’re great. Tempura shrimp were a little doughy. My dinner partner had prime rib and enjoyed it. Good portions and decent value. Our server was friendly and attentive. I would go there again to try their fondue. Overall a very decent meal in charming Nevada City!
Was there on a Sunday evening. Not very busy. They where very short handed due to people out sick. We had fondu which was good.
Only 2 complaints 1. Prime Rib was chewy and tough. 2. After being seated in a table in the middle of the room we requested a booth that was open. We were moved but the hostes was rude and seemed put out that we asked to move. Other than that everything was great. Spent $200 with tip.
We’d love to sit at table 1 if possible...thanks!
Took my wife here for our anniversary dinner had a great time waiter was extremely courteous and gave us a complimentary anniversary dessert will be returning food was excellent also the duck was extremely tender and the lamb chops pork cooked to perfection only complaint would be side dishes such as the vegetables and the baked potato we're a little cold which I believe took back from the experience just a little but overall I give it a 8 out of 10 visit
Good food, excellent live music in the bar. My only complaint is that the staff were disrespectful to the musicians.
Friendly service and tasty scampi. The music can be a little loud, but it is really nice to have the live band.

A few areas of improvement: we were charged for milk, even after our server came to say there was no milk. My hubby ordered a second glass of wine, one that was recommended to go with a dish he had ordered. Instead, he got a second glass of the same... read more
This is our second time going to Friar Tuck's and we love it. The selection fits a good variety of tastes. We enjoy trying the fondue, but the cedar plank salmon is my favorite (a bit lighter than many of the other dishes). We can't wait to go back.
