Drinks were wonderful and had cheese fondue as always. They swapped extra vegetables for the bread. Steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing!
Four of m girlfriends came up from Las Vegas over Labor day weekend. I wanted to take them somewhere special. They loved Friar Tucks, food & drinks were fantastic. Our waitress Tina was absolutley fabulous. She joined right in with the craziness with us. Then surprised us with the funniest dessert. My friends are already talking about going back for our next annual get together. Thank you to Friar Tucks & especially Tina for helping me make a memorable time for them in Nevada City.
My family and I have been going to Friar Tuck's in December for the last seven years as a tradition. We recently went there in the summer. Friar Tuck's has been a family favorite place to go for a special evening. The food has always been very good. The service has always been outstanding. Ambiance is charming. We would highly recommend Friar Tuck's to anyone who is looking for a special dinner.
We enjoyed our evening from the moment we walked in. We were greeted by the Hostess and seated in the room we had requested. Started out with one of their creative cocktails and the most delicious Mushroom appetizer. Relaxed at our table listening to the live music coming in from the bar. Our entrees ( Bleu Champagne Steak and Rack of Lamb) were both well prepared and we enjoyed our wine with our meal. The staff was excellent! Unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert.

Friar Tucks has always been our go-to place for special occasions. Our server Julie was, as always, very friendly and attentive. We look forward to seeing her every time we dine there.
Well prepared meal.. Great service. Meet the owner who was acting as the sommelier! Good folks. Well worth the time to visit.
Our usual go-to place for our anniversary is closed on Monday, so we decided to give Friar Tuck's a try--hadn't been there in many years. We enjoyed the experience. The food was more bountiful than necessary; we both left some on our plate. It was also a little rich for our tastes. But the wine was good, the service was excellent, and the dessert was fabulous. We'll go back.
