Quit membership after a long time (2+ years) on hiatus due to lack of utilization and crowding during times I was available. I had previously been a member at Camelback for 18+ years (charter member there). I was paying $50/month "hold" fee for the 2+ years at Gainey. Notified the accounting department a few days after the first of the month and was told that "per contract" I would have to pay an additional month beyond the month I gave them written notification. My husband and I have been members at Gainey for years. Overall I love this gym, but gave it only 4 stars because there is room for improvement. Our membership is at all the clubs. First I will say the childcare center is AMAZING! the staff is always so friendly and always remembers our daughter. one thing I don't like is that they let them watch TV in there but I notice they do a lot of other activities in there and it is not always watching TV. I've been a member of the Village for over a year and my two year old daughter loves the kids club. It's great to not have to worry about your child while you get the chance to workout. Great job to all the kids club staff!!
They've done a great job remodeling the locker rooms and I love the new crossfit section. This is a great atmosphere. I come here every morning and get a great workout in. Also, try a pb&j shake from the smoothie bar, you'll love it!
Very nice Health Club situated directly across from the Gainey Ranch Hyatt. Has all the cardio equipment you could need and want. As a full size basketball court steam rooms shower sauna pool all the amenities that a health club Spa could offer. They also have a restaurant inside. Definitely a great place to come and workout unless you're looking for more of a traditional gym this would not be your spot. Membership I feel is on the expensive side plus the dues you have to pay. But you do get a lot for what you pay for.
Massage: I scheduled a pregnancy massage and while The massage therapist, Geo, was very sweet...the massage was lacking. It was as if I overpaid someone to apply lotion to my body. No pressure was used whatsoever, and I was very disappointed. Facial: Carvell was very friendly and talkative. I thought the facial was good, and my face was very hydrated for several days after. Fantastic health club The staff and facilities are absolutely delightful on any given day the club is always busy and offers many different classes in a five star country club feel The grounds are expansive and full of delight Many classes are offered and plenty of club events. I am so happy that I joined this fantastic place

I can't write about the gym as I did not visit this place to work out but instead to hold several meetings in the cafe/juice bar. Never knew this place existed and what a cute little place it was to have meetings at. Met a business partner here the other day and we successfully did a few meetings in the cafe/juice bar area in the lounge seating area where there were not only table rounds but also comfy sofas. Gainey Village Health Club is not just a health club. It is not a spa, country club or member club. Gainey Village Health Club is truly a lifestyle. Trying to explain this to friends and business associates is always a bit tough. It is a bit like Church, you really don't know your feelings unless you are sitting in the pew and hearing the sermon right?
