I'm writing this review on the location itself instead of Gene Juarez as a whole because it I didn't, they wouldn't be getting 5 stars. I had a horrible experience trying to schedule a maternity massage. First Redmond told me they had someone, but called me later that day to tell me they had to cancel my appt because they actually didn't have someone and to call Bellevue. Bellevue put me in their books but I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appt. The morning of my appt they called to tell me they had to put me with a male masse... read more

Amazing spa services. I had a great massage session with Liv. Before it starts they bring you back to the dressing room where you change into a robe. Then you sit in a lounge area and drink water, coffee or tea and read magazines prior to your treatment. The tables are fancy and full powered, heated and cushioned. It was like a pillow top. I just got my hair blow dried and my ends trimmed by Mary Linclau. Let me start by saying I have very tightly coiled African American hair. I chopped my relaxed hair a year ago and have been growing my natural hair. I was very nervous how Mary was going to detangle my hair. She was very gentle with my hair and got it nice and straight without yanking on my hair. Mary was very attentive to my needs. I just finished my first color and cut and Gene Juarez in U Village and I have to say I'm blown away. I feel like I got the star treatment from both Mary Linclau (designer) and Jennifer (colorist) who worked in tandem on determining best color and cut as I prepare for my upcoming wedding in a couple months. I got my Balayage done here two times and I simply loved it both the times. First time was a little more than an year ago with Elle. It was the first time I colored my hair and she did an amazing job. But sadly for me she moved to Tacoma and I tried another salon. That did not workout very well and I came back to Gene Juarez. Last month I got Balayage from Erin. This time I went with a slightly different color and it looks great too! I receive a lot of compliments on my hair when ever I get my Balayage done here. I've had balayages twice before, but they have never been able to get the color to look like the ones I've had in pictures. I went in to Gene Juarez and it was the best hair coloring experience I've had! My colorist was Tomasz, and he is incredibly professional and sweet! He gave me as many cups of coffee as I wanted and made my hair look incredible. I never write reviews on this ever, but I made an exception because I've been getting so many compliments on my hair. Will definitely come back again!

I went to the U Village Gene Juarez for my balayage yesterday and had an amazing experience. From the time I walked into the salon to the moment I left I felt like I was being taken care of. The facility itself is very modern and light. The customer service staff were helpful and my colorist Richelle always does a really beautiful job with my hair. At other salons I feel guilty because I have really long and thick hair but at Gene Juarez I never feel like I am taking up too much time. I highly recommend Gene Juarez to anyone... read more

I have the sneaking suspicion that the lights in the spa area are dimmed for equal parts ambience, equal parts a means to disguise the fact that the walls are in dire need of a few new coats of paint. Compared to other Gene Juarez locations, the amenities leave much to be desired. Their spa in the Bellevue Galleria is exquisite and features steam showers and saunas, as well as a dining area for private parties. The U.
