I have had four friends recently use a new colorist at this salon. Susie powers has worked miracles on their hair! This colorist is top shelf. All of my friends are raving! Had to get the word out.

I have very fickle thick, course curly hair. I have lived in Seattle most my life and FINALLY found someone that can not only tame my mane, but transform it into something totally manageable and beautiful. Heidi at Gene Juarez is a true hair magician! She is very experienced and explains everything she is doing so nothing is left as a surprise. I have been going to Gene Juarez Salon for the last five years. Tai always cuts my hair, and she is awesome. She is very friendly, does what you ask, and makes the whole experience enjoyable. One of my favorite parts is when she washes my hair -- it's so relaxing. You do pay more at Gene Jaurez Salon than those smaller chain places, but I believe the extra money is worth it in the end. Aside from the music being crazy-loud at times these guys are willing to accomodate and keep you coming back. Great staff, comfortable environment.

I just had my third shellac manicure at this Gene Juarez location. Keiko is amazing! I so appreciate her precision and care. Friendly nail care tips and light conversation were a bonus. Too bad I live 700 miles away...but I'll be back!

This review is long over due and for the services provided by Bianka (hair stylist) and Sonja ( my colorist). Without a doubt, these are two of the most talented and professional individual I have come across in the beauty industry. They're excellent listeners (a rarity) and most importantly truly care about making their clients happy. I like this place a lot. I have always been able to come in to this location without an appointment and book a hair cut the same day, within 30 mins of arriving. This method of not having a set hairstylist may phase some women, but I honestly think the caliber of the stylists at Gene Juarez are all pretty top notch (although there are some that are better than others, I've never had a haircut I've regretted here). Gene Juarez U Village is the best. Sonja and Winne have both done my color and I have never had a complaint. They know what their doing - you don't have to worry about that ever. I have had Stella and Biancha cut my hair - I prefer Stella and only because I found Biancha annoying (my problem not hers). They both have great repuations online and in the salon. This one is for Robert mostly. But the entire experience was fantastic. I was a color virgin. I went into Gene Juarez because I wanted the best I could afford the first time I dyed my hair. I was worried because I was afraid I'd pay all that money for a color I hated. I showed Robert a picture and he automatically knew what to do.
