My previous stylist left the business and I felt nervous as I waited to meet my new stylist. However the moment I met Kristina I felt comfortable. I explained the situation, and showed her photos of prior cuts. She quickly grasped my expectations, and where the problems were with my current cut. She shaped my hair into a lovely swing bob, which is exactly what I wanted. Her attention to detail is amazing.

Alan does the best color out there! I couldn't wait to move back to Seattle so he can do my hair regularly. Pretty much my entire family gets our color done by him and we all love him!

Winnie does the best balayage. I am very both very particular about my hair and very low maintenance and Winnie strikes the perfect balance. I get my hair cut every 6 months (not weeks!) and I like only having to get my hair dyed every 6 months as well. With balayage, the look changes as my hair grows out but it always looks good and never like I have roots. Highly recommend Gene Juarez and especially Winnie for balayage.

I went here because it's convenient and they offered a sale - I had never been there before and was leery of getting my hair cut in the U Village. But I thought Amanda did a pretty good job of cutting my hair. Bonus points because I showed up on the wrong day and they fit me in anyway. I only had to wait like 15 extra minutes, actually, which was awesome! The receptionist was very polite about me showing up on the wrong day, as well, which was nice.

Carlee gave me one of the best facials of my life! She was attentive, professional and knowledgeable I think what really shines through and out of her magical hands is her passion for what she does. 10 out of 10 when it comes to facials. She also works miracles on eyebrows... Thanks again Carlee, I'm still glowing!

I AM OBSESSED WITH ROXANNE. She gave me the most phenomenal haircut I have ever had. I went in not really knowing what I wanted, and she had a variety of suggestions and was up to date with current trends, which she incorporated into my cut - a mid-length trim with long layers that framed my face. She even gave me instructions about different styling options and suggested several products for consideration without being pushy. No pressure! Day 2 and I'm still totally in love with my cut. I've come to Gene Juarez only for spa services, and admittedly, on someone else's dime. Truth be told, had I not received a gift certificate here, I'd have passed by with no idea there was a tiny spa hidden in this salon. Although you wouldn't know it by looking at it, behind a door to the left of the salon reception area is a comfortable, immaculate, mini-spa. snobby white girls, don't go if your a teenager and don't wanna get your confidence destroyed. not friendly if you have a different hair type then straight, god forbid you want a hair dye because you'll get told to get your butt out. don't go.

I booked a 60 minute Spa Pedicure for $91. My pedicure including picking out my color ( which is from a very small selection, more colors are available if you pay more because they're " quick drying") and a few minutes drying time was 45 minutes. You have your pedicure in a small room with a chair that raises. It's uncomfortable and gives you the feeling you're sliding forward, definitely not relaxing. I had been given a gift card for this visit, it definitely wasn't worth the money, and I wouldn't recommend this service
