I liked the support staff. But I hated feeling like I was being upsold Everytime I went. Required full set of xrays every 6 months. I found Dr. Randa Nasr to be kind of cold and aloof. She would recommend additional cleaning everytime over the basic that my insurance covered, and I'd never had anyone do that before. I told her once that I didn't want the additional recommended cleaning, just give me the basic that is included with my insurance. Most of the bad reviews are accurate. I have always waited long in this office. They call you in at your appointment time but they will make you sit in the chair for an hour before they get to you. They seem to prioritize consult over current patients. They're nice and friendly so they can get your business after that, wait wait wait. The assistants dont seem to work well with the dentists. I would not suggest this dental office. They over charged me $200, took over 2 months to get my money back. I had 4 fillings redone per their suggestion and have had 2 redone as root canals by a different specialist since the original dentist damaged the nerve horns on the teeth by getting the filling too close to the nerve. It has been 6 months and a 3rd tooth still hurts and may end up with another root canal. I recently switched dentists for proximity to home... Gentle Dental is highly unethical and doesn't do a very good job for the services performed. I went in for a routine cleaning. SUB-PAR to say the least. They essentially glance over your mouth with a hydroscraper, then polish. Their hygienists basically do nothing. It get's 90% of plaque out, but what about the remaining 10% between your teeth?!? Immediately afterwards I went home and flossed MYSELF! I'm not paying for half-way service, I was not impressed! The aim here seems to be revenue generation. Wanted xrays and cleaning, but $400 out-of-pocket and three visits later, I still don't have that. One of those visits was an appointment scheduled two days before the crown would actually be there. No one communicates with anyone else. Nasr walked in after I'd been there an hour + to say "your crown is in, now I will do the rest of my work." Crown wasn't in, and she didn't know that? Just moved to the OC from Raleigh, NC and was intrigued by the name... but was highly disappointed. The equipment is very old, they still take single x-rays, they do have TVs, though, which is good because I had to wait a very long time and wanted to be in and out on my lunch break. I got braces in July 2011 and the Orthodontist seemed knowledgeable, but I should have known better they just wanted business. They use cheap stuff for braces and the assistants are the ones that do everything! Also, they charged me $1,400 just for 5 months of services. I moved up to the North West area and found a way better Orthodontist. The new orthodontist explained things to me that the other one did not.

Gentle Dental is not gentle at all!!! I have never had any dentist poked my gum so hard. It was very painful. That's all I have to say.
