worst customer service experience I have ever had
This was one of the worst in-person service experiences I have had. The stylist assigned to my appointment stated that she does not use the app, which made it impossible for me to contact her through the platform. For a scheduled 5:30 PM appointment, the stylist arrived 40 minutes late. I was required to remain on the phone with customer service for over 30 minutes just to confirm whether the stylist would arrive at all. For a blonde updo the stylist used BLACK PINS so contrary to my hair color that everyone i came into contact with commented because none of them were even hidden
Stylist had the wrong number on file and I was unable to contact her for the appointment we had scheduled. I called customer support and they gave her my correct number 15 minutes into the appointment. Instead of trying to contact me the stylist left and I was charged for the appointment even though it didn’t happen. Very upset bc I love this service but won’t be using it ever again
Services themselves were okay - better than I could have done myself and VERY easy to book, however billing was a mess. I purchased the Black Friday hair and makeup deal and at that time of purchase was charged for the hair and makeup services, gratuity, and fees. I added lashes so knew I would owe the additional fee for those at my appointment. As I said Tasha was great. My makeup person never showed up and I’m going to a wedding. I couldn’t get ahold of her or Glamsquad. I’m really up set. I haven’t received a refund either. If it’s not resolved I will never use glam squad again.
I’ve used Glamsquad twice now. The app itself is very easy to use and the communication with customer service is quick and easy. However, on my first Glamsquad appointment, the makeup artist cancelled last minute and I didn’t get my makeup service for my event. Glamsquad gave me credit towards a next appointment. My second Glamsquad appointment, my hairstylist cancelled on my last minute and I didn’t have my hair done for the event I was attending. If you use Glamsquad, be prepared for a cancelled and have a backup plan.
I live in the suburbs and tried this out for a month and bought the membership plus the Black Friday package. They could not find a hairstylist on multiple occasions -even weeks in advance-and then claimed that because I had used the makeup portion, they couldn’t refund the rest nor the membership which I can’t use (because they don’t have stylists in my area). Now they have my money plus tip for a membership I can’t use. I have used Priv without issues so far and recommend them instead. Best of luck.
It’s better to find a reliable group of capable and professional make up and hair artists than using this app. The no refund policy for bad services is bad customer support.
