We drove from WI to visit this dealership after viewing several of their online listings that were at a great price. After looking at several Ford Escapes, we decided to purchase a used 2010 4WD Escape on their lot - only to find out after the papers were signed that the salesman had flat out lied to us about the vehicle being 4WD (it was only FWD), and that they had charged us almost $1,000 more than their online listing price for this vehicle. I went to the dealer looking to test drive a Focus. I told the salesman that I wanted to test drive the SE, not a higher end style. So he asks what color, and I really didn't care, but said blue. Well, apparently the blue Focus on the lot had a dead battery, so he brought a white one. We go for a test drive, then afterwards he pushes hard to make the sale. I had called Golf Mill Ford looking for a specific trim on the 2010 Ford Escape. I discussed the car and my desired options with a salesperson named Eve. After two weeks of back and forth on the phone she claimed she had finally located two in her dealership's stock. I had called every dealer in the Chicago area looking for one and she was the only one that said she had it in stock. Authorized 1 hour of diagnostic service, charged for 4! Was told a manager was not available. They would not budge on it. They tried to say that we had authorized additional time, when we had not. The work order that was signed specified one hour only, and that written authorization was needed for more. I recommend using another dealership if you need service for your vehicle!

I called this dealership's service department prior to driving there, explained that my car's engine light on the dashboard was lite up, and I needed service today. I was told that they were open until 10p, I could come at anytime, because they have shifts, and I didn't need an appointment. I drove all the way there after work, entered the service department after waiting in line, and I was told there were no technicians on duty so I had to come back tomorrow. This dealer took advantage of my fiance and I when we went there to purchase our first car. We thought we were paying the sticker price but later found out they charged me DOUBLE the price of the car and lied to me when I asked why the payments were so high. This dealership is very scandalous. They lied and sneaked around the truth. unfortunately there is no help for the consumer who gets ripped off I just hope a lot of people will read this and choose not to go to golf mill ford because they are scam artists.
