BEWARE!!!!!! They are aggressive and sleazy in their sales approach. If you do not buy a car from them they will call and HARASS you several times a day almost demanding that you buy a car from them. They think it is funny. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
The 27th of July I test drove a used vehicle from this dealership. I went over the vehicle with extreme detail. From the 28th-30th, we negotiated over the phone and came to a price agreement. I contracted on the on the evening of the 30th and drove the vehicle home. Note that my home is approximately 45-50 miles from dealer. The service team at Golf Mill greets you with a smile. They are friendly. But they consistently over promise and way under deliver. We have, regrettably, been taking our cars to them for the past 4 years. I was stupid. Not sure why I kept going back. But I will not be going back again. We were trying to decide between a Ford Escape and a Honda CRV and Gulf Mill made our decision very easy -- we went with the CRV. From the very beginning our experience with Gulf Mill was a disaster. Upon arriving, the sales force was milling around the entrance smoking. We started working with one saleswoman who seemed to know nothing about the car. If I could give golf mill ford negative stars I would. From the moment I got out of my car, I was pounced on by a sales person. Then when I asked to speak with the person I had been communicating my email with it took well over 10 minutes for her to come out of her office. My husband and I went to Golf Mill Ford with the intention of purchasing a new or possibly a used car. After finding a used car that may just have been perfect for our needs the price haggling and discussion of rates began. Just so you know, we actually use 3 Credit Reporting Agencies, and I have seen discrepancies of up to 100 points between tham. During our test drive of a used Ford Explorer I had asked where the 4 wheel drive button. Our salesperson said the vehicle was all wheel drive. We ended up purchasing the Explorer and a couple days later while reading the owner's manual, I realized the vehicle we had purchased was not all wheel drive, but rather rear wheel drive. Easily my worst experience with a car dealership. They had some new guy, supposedly with 12 yrs of experience help me with a Ford Edge SE. I told them on the phone I already knew I wanted the car, just need to see with they could match the deal Schaumburg Ford was offering.
