So far, they build a structurally sound home, but if you care about attention to detail I'd steer clear as you'll have buyer's remorse for a long time. In regards to customer service there were and still are things that should be taken care of, but they won't and don't appear to show any level of care. I wasn't able to work with anyone beyond my warranty guy, who was great, but per him, those above him didn't care to get involved to help with the things that were and still are the most important to fix.
Mr. Robert Kelley from the warranty team is a very professional representative of the Grayhawk team. Unfortunately Mr. Kelley is overloaded with excessive responsibilities and as a result the warranty work on our home that was scheduled to be completed weeks ago are still unresolved and have been rescheduled multiple times due to his lack of availability to address these warranty items.
Repair work was a nightmare and the punch list provided to Rick was never completed. Overall the home is fairly built but the deck is very poor even after repairs made at one year mark. Other one year repairs were made poorly with fixes that I would never allow or do myself. For example, fixing drywall and not repainting and leaving it up to the home owner? Fixing a door that is out of square but moving the hinges in which they show the cut out around the hinge because it was not done correctly the first time. I have to look... read more
They make a good energy efficient house. You have to really watch how they do the construction to make sure that you don't have any problems. One of the employees told me that they are told not to point out any deficiencies unless the homeowner says something. If he does not say anything than it goes away. That is not good.
Stay away from GreyHawk. Worst investment ever. My house under appraised. Very unorganized. Hard to get issues fixed. Very unknowledgeable staff. Poor quality of construction. Loss of investment.
Gray hawk built a nice home, however failed to complete build by the date schedule to (July of 2017).. was completed (November of 2017). during the final walk through, we labeled items to be completed by move in; Items were not completed. We moved in and items are still unresolved or to be completed....
Make sure that you do a thorough walk through. After they get their money they do not care about the customer anymore. Make sure you check all the nick-nacks. They did not put gutters on the house. There are two sets of rulers. One set is for the customer but then when it comes to them they don't want to pay up.
As a whole I was not especially impressed with the company. During the design meeting I was disappointed that I did not have the option to customize certain features of the home. To be fair, they let me know this up front, but I was still surprised I was not allowed to buy my own shower, for example,...
They have a good product but the experience is horrible and not worth it. The staff is incompetent and unprofessional.
