With the hail storm in the york sc area around 4 /20 /24 . On 4/22 We had Guy roofing come to inspect my roof. Zach P***** said the was hail damage and needed to be replaced. He said I need to give him to pay my insurance deductible $500.00 to make sure to hold the shingles they had in stock. On 4/24 my insurance inspector came out and Noticed the there was very little damage and that some of the areas that Zach had marked as hail damage was where he has REMOVED MOSS ON THE ROOF TO LOOKED AS HAIL DAMAGE. This is a warning ?? do NOT repeat do NOT use Guy Roofing. The workmanship is awful, they cut corners, do not following building codes, and damage personal property, they cause more issue than actually fixing the roof. I hired guy roofing to replace my roof that had storm and hail damage. After they finished the job, they tried to charge me for removal of my gutter guards that didn’t need to be removed, and damaged them all, they needed notched out all the drip edge to fit around the gutter and nailed my gutter guards to the... read more

Horrible business practices! Negative stars or no stars should be a rating. They use subcontractors and don't tell you that. The one they sent us had absolutely no identification on his truck, trailer, or clothing, did not speak English, did not provide a time window for service, showed up before normal business hours with no notice, went on our roof without even notifying us he was there (no knock on the front door, no introducing himself, nothing!)!!! Don’t use guy roofing. Don’t use guy roofing. Free estimate. Slick man. Signed form contract. I called the man that came out and asked him. I asked slick man that came out how much. He didn’t give an estimate. He repeatedly asked how much the insurance paid me over and over and over again he wanted to know I told him I got my first cash check half of the amount it was like $9000 and that’s all I can afford. DO NOT USE GUY ROOFING FOR YOUR ROOF REPLACEMENT/REPAIRS!! They talk the talk , but they do not walk the walk!! Or crew left discarded nails strewn throughout my yard, there was no follow up inspection, and they threatened legal action on a bill that had been paid. I was extremely disappointed with their customer service!!

DO NOT USE THIS ROOFING COMPANY! DISHONEST AND RUTHLESS! We have contracted with Guy. We were promised by the sales rep that our current existing shingles were called "Georgetown Grey". We handed the sales rep a spare shingle indicating that we wanted the same color we have now, and he told us that it was in fact "Georgetown Grey". He did not bring any samples of Certainteed shingles which we currently have with him, so we had to take his work that what we had was "Georgetown Grey". We had used Guy roofing in the past and was very pleased. We had them come give estimate on a rental home About 3 weeks ago. Tech was to call us back. After 2 weeks I called office and was told he wasn’t available but they would send him message. Still another week no call. I called office again and received same answer. It’s been another week and no one has followed up yet. We have reached out to another roofer Hopefully they want our business

Because Guy Roofing failed to show up to do the work I paid for, the contents of my storage shed were ruined. Because Guy Roofing failed to show up to do the work I paid for, I did not have a chance to locate another vendor to do the work that I needed to protect the items that were in the building they were supposed to cover before it rained that weekend. The fact that they refunded my money is hardly relevant when you look at the bigger picture which paints a poor portrait of the company. Buyer beware!

Once the salesman had us sign the contract, it took weeks to even get on the calendar to have the work done. We were offered financing and got approved for it, only to receive an invoice for the full balance with $210 in extra charges. The drip edge we paid extra for wasn't installed. It has been two days since I called about the drip edge, with no response.
