Boring getaway Boring as Martha's Vineyard was mainly still closed. Hotel food was good but menu limited. But you must have their banana split.
When I checked in my room keycard did not work. Back to the front desk, got another, it opened the room...which was occupied! Not a great start. Ended on a not great note either as the side of bacon ordered at breakfast was so overcooked it could not be eaten. They did comp the bacon and my coffee without issue. Aside from those two things, the hotel itself is lovely, old-world, great views and very comfortable. I would stay again.
Let me tell you about the staff at this hotel. from the moment we walked in the door, no the moment we pulled up, this hotel blew me away! It's absolutely breathtaking. The staff is incredible. The lady who checked us in was so kind, she even took out a map and showed us all the good places that were open that we had to see. For our entire stay we never went without anything. Beautiful room, comfy beds,5 star Pros: beds, linens, lobby, room, room view, location. What a perfect spot, view is heavenly! lobby is homey with fireplace. bar has beautiful view(very loud waiter) excellent cocktails. room was spotless, soft linens, good mattress, view from balcony of lighthouse, lots of windows, large tv. We were lucky to get room in main hotel.
Colors in the room were soothing , spacious , very Just needed a full length mirror somewhere in the room
