Beautiful location, but our room needed some TLC. Pros: Location Cons: Our room was dated and a little grimy. Location: Excellent location. Close to shops, restaurants, waterfront, etc. Easy access to the bus as well to visit other areas of the island. Overall, our experience was very nice. The hotel is beautiful and the location couldn't be better. We stayed in one of the cottages. Reasonable but not perfect The hotel has a great porch and lobby. The staff were very polite. The rooms were comfortable, but the bathrooms could use an overhaul (old, falling apart). Likewise, the hallways could use a new coat of paint and/or recarpeting. Not a bad choice if your visiting the vineyard, but could use a bit of renovation.
What a great experience! My son had his wedding at the hotel. It was absolutely fantastic!!! Everyone at the hotel treated us and all the guests very professionally and friendly. If The Harbor View Hotel is rated on a 1 to 5 star system it really should be a 6 Star. We highly recommend a stay at the hotel... you would be hard pressed to find a more pleasant experience!
Excellent hotel The Habor View is an excellent up scale hotel. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They are knowledgeable about area attractions and restaurants. The staff went out of their way to assure our comfort.
Lovely Vineyard Be ready to pack your bags a long way. Not any help with baggage. Hotel is across the street from the harbor and lighthouse, just a short walk and so beautiful. Rent a bike and you can be anywhere in minutes. Love the rockers on the front porch of hotel. Booking through a 3rd party gets you a room with no view. There was a blood spit on our comforter and hair in the bathtub, bit was cleaned when reported. Kramer at the front desk was hard working and a great help. I would return
Wish we could have stayed longer... We loved our stay....wish we had stayed longer....we were given an "upgrade" that we didn't ask for but we really liked that they thought to do something extra for us....the room was very nice....we had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed that as well.
Not up to the rating given The hotels location was excellent.The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful,however we dont understand how they received the rating they got when the main restaurant was closed for all the days were there.The bar served food but not of a dinner standard,more like a snack bar.There were many people older than us staying there and we were all forced to walk a mile into town, in the rain,for a decent meal.Secondly,the check was not till 4pm.It was raining when we arrived and could not acce... read more
Cons: Dinner portions very small. Hotel very nice and great views of lighthouse and ocean. Morning breakfast buffet very good.
