Not up to the rating given The hotels location was excellent.The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful,however we dont understand how they received the rating they got when the main restaurant was closed for all the days were there.The bar served food but not of a dinner standard,more like a snack bar.There were many people older than us staying there and we were all forced to walk a mile into town, in the rain,for a decent meal.Secondly,the check was not till 4pm.It was raining when we arrived and could not acce... read more

Perfection Had a great time, everything was perfect and location was just a walk from all the shops and restaurants in edgartown. Beautiful hotel, restaurant and bar. Great good and drink options. Front porch was fun too.
Great location. Beautiful views! I'm so happy I chose the Harborview for our stay instead of the other hotel I was considering in Vineyard Haven! Edgartown is beautiful and the Harborview with it's inviting front porch, beautiful foyer and lobby area, bar and windowed restaurant are lovely. I booked late and was not able to book an ocean view room but I would recommend it if you can. Ours was in the back of the main hotel and was updated and nicely decorated. Nice rooms but staff lack communication Pros: Great location. Cons: Staff could be more honest and communicate more effectively to guests. We arrived early and asked to check in early as the hotel has a 4 pm check in time. The front desk told us that they would call us when our room was ready. We noticed a lot of other groups checked in prior to us and receiving calls around 2:30. By 3:30 we asked the front desk about our status and to our surprise it was ready a while for some time.
