We arrived after driving 9 hours to find out there was a mix up with our reservations. We called the office and they said there was nothing they could do. They had no place for us to stay. We asked to speak with Ryan who we have always dealt with only to be told we could not talk to him. After about 30 min a lady called back to tell us she found us a place to stay but it would cost us over 300 dollars and we had to be checked out by 10am the next morning and we couldn’t get in our house until 3:30. We stayed at pelican paradise had issues with water leaking in front door and bedroom window. One of their workers came and looked at them but nothing was done. It is advertised as having TVs in each bedroom there was only 1 bedroom with a TV. When i called the lady i talked to said she would ask her boss about it i never heard anything else from them. The chairs on the deck were broken you had to double them up to sit in them. There was a beautiful view but I would not recommend renting this house to anyone.
This property and management are the worst. “Clean” means a layer of dust on fans and vents with bugs all over the place. Your business license should be revoked. You have no idea what you’re doing.
We had a great time visiting Gulf Shores - our condo was just OK, the king size bed in the master bedroom needs a new mattress in the worst possible way, and the elevators only worked less than half of the time we were there. We stayed at Island Winds East - this building in is need of some updating. We loved the easy access to the beach and the pool was OK, it was a bit small for the number of condos and became a bit crowded at times.
Worst rental experience in 30 + years of renting in Gulf Shores. We have rented beach property Kaiser, Meyer, and Reed. Never had a bad experience until Harris Properties. Three months in advance I began voicing a concern that the description of the property's access to the boardwalk was misleading. I could never get past the receptionist in 5 phone calls and 3 emails. We stayed in Junaluska’s Landing in Fort Morgan and we enjoyed ourselves. House is nice, not stellar though. It was clean and everything worked. We did not get to enjoy having our dog with us very much because of the horrible shape of the yard. There is nothing but sand spurs that stick to the puppy and shoes and everything else! So many that you track them up the stairs and into the house!! Horrible experience. Too many broken items in the home, including light bulbs, blinds, and hurricane shutters. Further, there was only one working smoke detector, the other two were missing off the ceiling. Cleaning was sub-par and the exterior landscape is in dyer need of maintenance. Home did not reflect the on-line pictures. I would not rent this home, Faxo Retreat, nor rent from Harris again. Their customer service is less than stellar. I'm here I was told I could go in at 1:30 pm instead of 3:30pm but it's now 3:49pm n my code is not working and they don't have anyone oncall cause I've called the office 3 tims n left 1 message n 2 messages started thencut off..,, so currently I'm sitting out side on the deck with my perishables melting... not a great first impression
Well when we arrived and saw the condo for the first time we were very pleased. It was clean and spacious. My mom and I went down the elevator to retrieve out luggage and the elevator got stuck. For 45 minutes me and my aging mother sat stuck in an elevator with NO air!! We used the 911 button twice. My best friend and two kids finally figured out we were stuck.
