Terrible experience. They would give me a day for pick up then never call back or follow up. When they did answer their phone I would get "let me call the driver and get back to you" they would never call back. I'd be waiting all day, then it would be, the driver won't make it need to reschedule. They jerked me around for a week doing this. When the driver finally showed up, he couldn't be more helpful.
My experience started off good, but slowly turned terrible. To get my business the coordinator was very communicative. After signing a contract there was a lack of communication, costs were different than my contract, and support was nowhere to be found. My original quote was $845, then the amount agreed upon was $1,040. I put $240 down as a deposit, leaving $800 leftover to pay. That number is on my contract. Paid $400 down then the dealer sold the truck. Asked for a refund and was ignored. I persisted, here are Keiths replies...My boss does refunds on Friday contact me as a reminder/we dont do many refunds/Holidays set us back/contact your bank its up to them/you should follow up with your financial institution. I filed a formal complaint with BBB. Their 1 sentence reply to BBB was it cost them $250 but no mention why they are keeping the remaining $150. My repeated requests to Keith are being ignored. This was the first time I've ever shipped a car so I did a ton of research. I got quotes from over 20 companies and even talked to a few on the phone. Since I was shipping a car to Alaska from Georgia, things were a bit trickier. After getting the run-around by several companies and needing to make a decision, I moved forward with Haul away after seeing some positive reviews. There were numerous problems. The actual price was higher than quoted. The driver missed pick up by several days and Haul Away sent me the number to call the driver. Never got an estimated delivery until hours before drop off when I was at work. Never got a contract. Wasn’t told to pay the delivery in cash (no credit cards). Never heard back after they took my deposit. I felt like I was mislead by Haul Away on numerous issues in this process - they quoted one price, then they tell me they can't get a driver at that price. There website says no deposit required, but they do require their cut up front before they pick up your car and then they ask you to pay cash to the actual delivery company. And they don't provide you any proof of insurance. So it cost almost twice what they quoted, you pay them their cutup front- (so it is a deposit), and you have to pay cash for the balance. I am clueless how anyone could of damaged my wife’s seat the way it looked but this bullhead of transporter managed to do it. Never again ship a car with a individual that can barely speak the English language. I blame the Haulaway Logistics just as much as the bonehead that transported my wife’s car.
They picked up my Jeep in Philly and had it delivered to Phoenix the following Monday. They do everything, and all you do is tell the the addresses for pick up and delivery. I’d never shipped a car before and would use these guys again if I did.
Keith from this company is a horrible person. He promised me that he would ship my cars for a specific amount on a specific date, and when that date arrived he said he didn't have the drivers. After I left my apartment I was stuck with no where to keep the cars. Don't deal with them as they will harass you and tie you down with nothing but talk. Very unprofessional.
