The dining room was extremely noisy, too loud to hear my friend. May try the patio next time.
It’s a little strange that they take reservations until 8:45 but then upon arrival they told us we had 12 minutes to place our order because the kitchen closes at 9:00??
You need to get the heat fixed in the patio. We froze to death and it was too noisy inside.
The gumbo was mostly rice with 2 shrimp, two pieces of chicken, and hardly any andouille sausage. We were seated on heated patio near the plastic wall. Each time the servers went in or out, the plastic slammed back and forth. Server was friendly though.
I did not know some of the items usually offered on the weekday menu are not offered for brunch Saturdays and Sundays. Some of these not offered are the most popular items. It seems the kitchen runs the restaurant because take out is also not offered some days. Usually, the owner and managers run a restaurant but not at Haven, which results extra people not being hired for the busier hours. I won’t be going to the brunches on the weekends.
Haven is one of my top Atlanta 3 restaurants. This was my least enjoyable visits. The food was OK, our server was flat and didn’t bother to inquire as to why I only ate 20-30% of my meal.
We felt rushed to eat and leave. I asked 4 times for honey for my biscuit before someone finally brought it. Food, as always, was delicious.
Made a reservation for four. All arrived about five minutes early. Instead of seating in the restaurant we were seated on the outside concrete near the service area. Cramped, hot, wobbly table. Awful. Food was just ok but using sliced deli ham for a ham and cheese omelet is just cheap. Potatoes were warm at best after sitting under heat lamps for an extended period of time. Server was excellent but no need to go back.
I love the patio, having gone several times to sit outside with friends. The meals were not as good as what I've come to expect. the Potato Hay appetizer came out cold. 2 of us ordered the trout dish, the fish was dry.
