This has been a go-to place for us, but was terrible last night. Completely disengaged server who actually avoided eye contact, (my friend and I made jokes about it while he passed our table 6-8 times without acknowledging us), took about 20 minutes to flag him down to take an order, then when we said "we will make this easy for you, 2 burgers" he said "we are out of burgers, just sold the last one". Porch pleasant but too loud for conversation. Some food good. Steak not a good piece of meat. $500 for 4 w one bottle of Pinot Noir.
We came for dinner on a Thursday evening, the food and service was excellent, however they have live music every Thursday. The band was good, but was way too loud, we couldn’t really hear the server nor could we socialize amongst ourselves at the table, despite being as far from the band and speakers was possible. We spoke with three different staff members about the volume, and our concerns were not heard. Don’t wish to return. Everything seemed to be an issue —special orders do upset them!
Great food. Seating is too cramped and tables are tiny! It felt like four of us were crammed to a table for two!
We were so disappointed. We’ve been to Haven at least 1/2 dozen times and based on last night, we won’t rush back. The service was lacking! In our waiter’s defense, I think he was responsible for too many tables so that’s on management and maybe lack of people showing up to work?! We had to ask our waiter multiple times for items we had already requested. My salmon was inedible. It smelled fishy when it arrived to the table and wasn’t prepared medium well as requested. Service was good. Food overpriced for what it was. Ordered the salmon and it tasted fishy; I think I paid $20-something for it and, tbh, it wasn't much better than something I could've prepared at home with Costco salmon. Tortellini was better than the salmon, but, once again, not worth the price tag. Only thing I actually really enjoyed was the mushroom dish under the small plate menu. Overall, dinner was $100 and, frankly, I think that would've been a more enjoyable spend at the pizza place next door.
Made a reservation and it was to crowded to sit us.
Made reservations for my friend's birthday dinner. We were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait to sit inside, or we could sit on the heated patio. The patio was really cold, even with the heaters. They should not have overbooked. Very disappointing. The hostess was also cold. She acted like she would relay to the server that it was my friend's birthday, and she never did. I will say the food was delicious and our server Patterson was great!
