A decent company that wants to do better, but may not be there yet. Overall, we are generally happy with Heartland's POS side of the company (we would not recommend the HR side, but that is another story). The customer service typically responds quickly. Sometimes I wish they would come out a little more quickly, especially since it seems that their equipment only ever breaks during a busy dinner rush. Great product for the price Heartland was a nice group to work with when we were looking for a cheaper alternative for a HRIS company, we were referred by our insurance brokerage team and nothing but good things to say regarding the people who worked with Heartland. PROS What I liked most about Heartland Payroll was their push to work on the mobile app and making sure the employee has access to many of the features that Heartland payroll had to offer.
