Expensive but worth it I’ve used heartland for a good while and I can say it’s reliable, easy to use and has every tool you’ll need. It’s way too expensive but if you are looking for the best this is it. PROS I struggled to run my business until I had heartland. Heartland makes payroll and tax season so easy I could never go back. Heartland is fast and reliable CONS Super expensive. Is the most expensive payroll company I’ve worked with.

Pretty good processor PROS I liked Heartlands customer service. They were always easy to understand and helpful. CONS They had a lot of fees that kept going higher over the years.

Heartland for the Heart It has always been a positive experience for me. PROS I love how easy it is to pull our check stubs and read them. CONS I got locked out because I would forget the client code often.

regular user Overall experience was favorable PROS ease of ACH and recurring billing set up - CONS did not have capability to handle employment taxes in Canada - problem for us as we had a couple of Canadian employees REASON FOR CHOOSING HEARTLAND PAYMENT PROCESSING price point REASONS FOR SWITCHING TO HEARTLAND PAYMENT PROCESSING functionality and support

They do UI and Withholding for me! It didn't really matter that the dashboard was overwhelming because customer service has been phenomenal. From the tons of time the first person took to help me decide if Heartland was a good fit and understand the fees to my current assigned helper who checks in with me from time to time to see if I have any questions. She also scheduled a time for a tutorial so I'd know exactly how to change my salary or pay date if I need to. PROS While I can write myself a paycheck out of my own busines... read more

ADP vs Heartland Our company has switched back from ADP to Heartland because the over all transition was more difficult that previously presented. PROS I can go online and review my pay at anytime. CONS The ADP plan was much easier to understand. The symbols and verbiage is easier to understand. REASONS FOR SWITCHING TO HEARTLAND RETAIL The transition was not smooth and more difficult for the accountants

Heartland On my end is was easy however again the verbiage is a little confusing when reading our paychecks compared to ADP PROS The product is an easier process than ADP CONS The information is not put in terms to be easily understood by the average employee REASONS FOR SWITCHING TO HEARTLAND PAYMENT PROCESSING The transition was not a smooth one so we switched back to Heartland. We used it first then got ADP and switched back after a couple months.

Experience from Both Sides of the Sale Counter It was easy to learn and I haven’t had too many issues so far. PROS I like how clean the interface is and how easy it is to use overall. As an employee using it, I have heard it isn’t bad in the lineup of possible POS systems to use. CONS Though I like the clean interface, the design is really outdated and could do better with integration of images for items. A Heart of Gold PROS It’s nice to have a representative from the company that you get to partner with when using the program. I am able to go into businesses and show the products and services that can be offered through them and their customers. The software is updated on a regular basis and we can work with the set up an implementation team from Heartland to do so.
