Great for occasional printing. I don't often have use for a printer, but when you need a printer you NEED A PRINTER. I had a cheap inkjet printer that would dry up between use. I decided to get a laser printer as it was my understanding that the toner is not prone to drying out. Being able to print via wi-fi off my phone and double sided print is also very nice. The one thing I don't like it brothers update software, but that a small dislike.
Just ignore the reviews that say this printer is hard to set up You should ignore the reviews that say this printer is hard to set up - not at all true. Took about 5 minutes to open the box, plug the printer in, connect to my WiFi and start printing. Yes, it is slightly cumbersome to use the arrow keys to enter your WiFi password (like texting on a old-school flip phone), but this is not rocket science. Works fine, but beware, there is NO WIRED ETHERNET PORT The printer is fine, works as expected. My only gripe is of my own fault: While there is USB and WiFi support, there is no hardwired ethernet support. I didn't catch that when I was ordering it. Given a choice, I always prefer to hardwire things, only resorting to WiFi when absolutely necessary. This printer works great I got SOOO tired of paying nearly $100 to refill my inkjet printer (and having the black type always seem out of register), I finally decided to replace it with this black and white laser printer. I LOVE the crisp clean printing. I was able to set up the printer in about a half hour without needing a cord. Also, be sure to turn deep sleep mode "off" and to set the toner warning to "continue" as others have mentioned. Directions are in the top "useful" post. This printer is a nice compact size too.
It was well worth the money read the full review. I love this printer. It is Wireless or USB It works every time unlike the last Two new HP printers. It is a Laser Printer that is it. It is a no frills printer that has worked every time I click print. I am so pasted and over, done with HP printers. If you want a printer that is easy to install this is the one for you. Watch out for the delivery people I looked at our video camera and wasn't pleased with how they delivered/treated our printer during delivery. They obviously didn't care it was a printer and/or how rough they were when they somewhat dropped it to the ground and then it fell onto its side. The printer works right now but I'm even more aware if anything goes wrong within the warranty time-frame, I'm definitely going to wonder if this was the cause. Happy day Setup was fairly easy, prints super fast and quiet compared to an inkjet printer.
It works This does exactly what it is supposed to every time. So many printers today are cheap and deceitful with expensive ink prices. This one just works.
