Do Not Buy: Significant Creasing Do not buy this model. The duplexing function creases paper to such a significant degree that text is not readable along the length of the crease, often the full length of the page.
Can no longer print wirelessly after 2 1/2 years. -After 2 (1/2) years cannot print wirelessly anymore. -First printed page each time comes out with a deep vertical wrinkle the entire page. -Does hold more paper than my other Brother printer I have had this printer for 2 (1/2) years and it will not stay online anymore. Would not buy again Our company bought 20 of the HL-L6200DW printers, and quite honestly, would never buy another Brother printer. The print quality is good for a short time, until the toner dumps into the drum unit, then good luck with a decent quality print job. We get spots on the prints as well as blacked out spots. Back to HP we will go.
Fast printing workhorse at a budget-friendly price. - Read toner lock quick fix I'm not going to lie, we have to replace this printer every 15 months or so after it has printed nearly a half million sheets of paper. Things start to get a little wonky once we get past the 400,000-page mark, However, we stay loyal because it prints super fast (nearly 1 sheet per second), it's compact, and we have an extra print tray, so, it's cost-effective. Prints random Dots barely used any at all. prints dots, cleaned per manufacturer specs, ok for a while but then does it again. The print speed is nice.
What a piece of junk There aren't enough hours in the day to write about all the things that make this printer the worst I've ever owned. But here are a few---it prints lousy, shuts down on its own repeatedly and its software keeps conking out. Tech support? Oh, Brother--that doesn't exist except for minimal online chats.
DO NOT BUY Printer came defective, box is in trash, Amazon won’t help me out with packaging it to send back. On phone with amazon for 30 mins, promised a call back from supervisor. Never called. Extremely disappointed.
The Deep Sleep Mode is a disaster I liked this printer but it keeps reverting to deep sleep mode, even when we set the sleep timer to the maximum number of minutes. There are videos of double secret menu commands to turn it off, but so far none have worked for this particular model. Literally tens of minutes each day sitting waiting for it to start printing each job.
PIECE OF SH!T, DO NOT BUY Worst printer I ever purchased. I used the Amazon Certified Brother refurbished program. BIG MISTAKE! The printer was awful and the drum was all fouled up. The first 1-3 pages of each print would end up with spots and print streaks EVERY TIME. Brother quality has gone down a lot. I will probably never buy another Brother Printer again.
