My toner has been nothing but issues day one leave splotches all over the paper I called brother for support they did a few things and after 45 minutes it seemed to improve, but now it is back to how it is the majority of the time with splotches all over my paper. Why can't we get a quality product without the hoops to jump through.
DEAD IN 1 WEEK NO POWER AFTER 1 WEEK
Dark black line down all copies I purchased this Brother printer HL-L6200DW in Nov 2017 and in April 2019 a long black line down the right side of all copies appeared. Since I have found this has happened to other friends. I worked with Brother Live Chat for 3 hours and with 2 different reps. They cannot fix it and will not replace this piece of junk. DO Not Buy this!
Problems since day 1! I had the HL-L 5200DWT and it was awesome. When it came time to replace it I went with the upgraded model HL-L6200 because it held more paper and was a little bit faster. It prints with creases, it make a horrible whining sound at times and it drops from the Wi-fi constantly. I so wish I would have ordered another 5200 model.
Prints fast but disappointing print quality I was just looking for a fast black and white printer and this printer is very fast. However, I have had a lot of problems with print quality with this model. The pages constantly have ink smudges and rarely prints a good clean quality document. The problem has been getting steadily worse even though the printer is less than a year old.
There is a way to turn Deep Sleep off, but for IT deployments steer clear of this printer This printer is rough to play with iOS, hard to play with Mac OS. I had to go deep into a forum to find out the strange combination of button presses to turn off Deep Sleep. Otherwise, by default, this NETWORKABLE PRINTER WILL TURN OFF AFTER 20 SECONDS OF UNUSE. Terrible print quality The print quality was fine for a couple of months. Then started getting vertical lines over the whole page. I've tried all the recommended cleaning suggestions but can't make the lines go away. I have other models of brother printers that work great.
Poor Quality print I bought this printer to replace the same printer, which I had worn out in about 9 months. The print quality had declined to the point I could no longer use it. Spots and smudges on paper. I would open the printer and clean the various rollers, and could get OK quality for a short time. It was a cheap printer and it worked fine for a while. Avoid printer at all costs I bought this printer in 2019 and have the same problem with paper creasing that purchasers had in 2017 and 2018. Strangely, those negative reviews were buried when I bought the printer. Now, they are more predominant. Anyway, you would think that Brother would have corrected the problem or taken the machine off the market by now. Shame on Brother. I've always bought Brother printers in the past. No more. Morto!
