Issue with the crease on printing paper I had good experience with the Brother printer before it was run down so much I had to replace, and I read the one-star comments and I thought maybe it was that person's only experience. So ordered because it was a good price and things that I needed to do the jobs and this printer was offering. Set up was easy and flawless and print was good on a few pages and it starts to crease. At first, it was a page here and there with a small crease, the crease gets larger. It's been a month wit... read more
You are on your own Brother unfortunately has made it impossible to find support contact information. Like others I have a "crease" in random pages. The printer was great for the first 3 cartridges. Then it started printing slowly with no explanation. At less than half the rated speed. The vast majority of what I print are loan packages that are 300 to 400 pages per set. These are all business documents with few if any graphics. Despite the TN-880 rating of 12,000 pages, the best I see is about 8,500 pages. Very frustrating.
printer leave big creases in paper I've been a big fan of Brother printers for many years. When I upgraded from a HL-6180dw to the HL-L6200dw I started getting creases in the printed pages after a couple of months of use. I bought another hoping I had a lemon and the same thing happened. Brother's quality seems to be deteriorating. Luckily, I still have my old HL-6180 to go back to. I hope it lasts.
Leaking ink I bought this printer about one and half years ago. I used it occasionally to print a couple pages. I probably printed less than 200 pages so far, but it leaks ink crazily now. I am not sure if I should go buy a new cartridge or just dump this printer completely.
Poor print quality On the upside, it was simple to set up and configure. It's basically plug and play. On the downside, the quality of the output is unacceptable ... see photo for the streaking that occurs on every printed page. I've followed all of their troubleshooting steps to no avail.
drum went bad after two weeks of light use. all prints have black ink dust all over them and keep getting drum warning saying to move green tab over and back but it doesnt fix anything. I guess this printer is semi cheap for a reason.
Black clouds and smears with original toner cartridge. I'm on the original toner cartridge. A couple months after I got the printer, under light usage, I started to get more and more black clouds and smears, to point it was not usable. Per the product support site, I very carefully cleaned the drum with alcohol swabs. It helped a little, but was still unusable. A few weeks later, I tried cleaning the drum again. Same result. The product support instructions tell me that if cleaning the drum doesn't help, to next replace the ... read more
Unhappy Print quality is poor. It did not meet my expectations. I was afraid to return product due Amazon’s strict return policies. Amazon sells a lot of low quality products but becomes intolerant when customers return too many items. I am unhappy with this product. This printer prints very low quality outputs.
Refuses to print even when there is still toner. Even when there is still toner remaining, the printer says "low toner" and refuses to print. There is not an override. The only solution is to buy new toner even when the existing cartridge is fine.
