John then asked a few questions and quickly gave me a tentative quote. He then promised to follow that up with a written quote via email, which he quickly did. This review has been long overdue. Chris was exceedingly helpful during our home purchase and throughout our mortgage process. Not only did he have some of the best rates, but also the best customer service. Everything was clean, easy, and on time, and Chris helped us throughout the whole process. We're new to this home buying process and some of this was foreign to us. John is a broker. So he is the middleman between the buyer and the lender. He got us a phenomenal rate (better than even the broker my realtor suggested - I shopped around). John did a great job explaining the process to us. The only downside to using a broker rather than a direct lender is that there is an extended wait time (multiple parties relaying information). John did warn us about this in the beginning. James Loucks was great to work with. Several times I got frustrated with the process but he remained calm and rational and helped me get through it. I would definitely recommend him to anyone - he is professional, responsive and knowledgeable.
