We recently had our Honda Pilot at Honda Kingsport for an oil change and to diagnose a squeaking sound in the front suspension. We were sent a video by the tech stating that the noise was coming from the new struts we had installed by a different auto repair shop. We had Koni shocks and struts installed, top of the line equipment. The tech suggested we take it back to the garage that installed the parts for a warranty replacement, we did. First off I understand that a used car is for the most part as is. However, when I bought the car on 1/18 it was cold outside and I tested both the heat and the air worked. As the days started getting warmer I noticed that the A/C wasn’t getting cold. The first service was due so I had it done today, I mentioned that the A/C didn’t work and was told that if I didn’t purchase a warranty to cover it, I was out of luck. I had an appointment for an oil change. I was there a little early but was not able to get checked in for 20 minutes where I was sitting in my car waiting. My oil change took 1.5 hours and for my take home gift, I had greasy drivers car mats to clean today, which took 30 minutes of MY time. I think 2 stars is generous. NOT HAPPY!!

$5000 above MSRP. Total ripoff! Considering the economy we are in right now, it just goes to show they don't care about their customers.

Although, I love Honda and the staff. It takes forever for anything you do inside there. The service department is slow, you will wait several hours for anything even a simply oil change whenever you can be in and out somewhere else. I will shop here all day long but for service department I absolutely hate coming here because I know it will be a few hours of wait.

My daughter bought a brand new Honda Civic, she goes for first oil change and they tell her already that she needed a front wheel alignment, knowing she still has warranty. They charged her $140. Called the service manager and he was the biggest smart ass! will not do anymore business with Kingsport Honda!! They take advantage of young adult women!!

Another update: After having the oil leak fixed by their “mechanic” I’ve had nothing but issues out of it. Intermittent no starts, tach not working, shifting hard. Took it to Champion Chevrolet and they put a starter on it and it wasn’t fixed, they rewired the starter ( at no cost to me), and now it’s back up there. Bought the car in September and it has since been in the shop 5 times since they “worked” on it. Scheduled an appointment with their valet service for my oil change since it was offered to me when they called about needing my car serviced. I appreciated the offer and it seemed to be more fitting to my life having them come get my car instead of waiting in the dealership with an infant. They never showed up. I continually called. Was told some one was on the way. Then they didn’t know. Then they were sending someone. Such a joke.
