This was my first visit with Dr Civantos and was excellent. I have been a patient with Illinois Retina since 1988. Ever since 1990 I have been seeing Dr. Packo who recently retired. Dr Civantos was very thorough and answered all my questions. Best of all I had an early morning appointment, I was 45 minutes early, I was in and out before my scheduled appointment time. I would definitely recommend Dr Civantos as he is very thorough and easy to talk to. This appointment was for my yearly checkup.

Doctor Civantos is very thorough and explains things very clearly. He has an excellent staff and a well run office. I usually have to wait a but but that's only because his office is very busy and he treats many elderly patients who often need extra attention. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Dr Civantos has done my previous left eye surgery in 2011 andI was there for him to check fluid behind left eye. He did a through check up and he reassured me regarding my left eyeI will see him again with complete confidence and would definitely refer him to anyone. He is absolutely fantastic.

Great doctor. Great staff. Repaired my retinal detachment when other doctors wouldn't touch it. Always takes time to answer my questions and listens to me when I tell him what I'm experiencing with my eyes. I love that he talks in terms of probabilities, which I understand. I've been seeing him for about six years now and have no bad experiences with his office. Yeah! Sometimes I wait, but it's a doctor's office.
