Rating Install America is difficult, because they did some things very well and others very poorly. So, I hope you will consider the good and bad points rather than just looking at the rating. First, their salesman was excellent for the most part. He demonstrated the benefits of their windows in a realistic way and covered everything exceptionally well. Installers are incompetent and sloppy. They did a lot of damage to my bay window. I ordered windows in May 2007 and they didn't correct the damage done to window until 11/28/07. I'm Very unhappy with the way they treated me. The customer replations guy was very helpful and helped with all the problems. After I got in contact with him things started woring out better
I bought the windows on 8/14 and they weren't installed until 11/1. That's just terrible turnaround and NO ONE procatively kept me informed during that time. Once the windows were installed, trim was required. The installers used plain pine and left it unpainted so that I had work to do on every window after they left. Very disappointing.
i told the sales man i needed it as soon as i was ready,my home was put in,he said it would be. it was a week and a half till it was put in. i told the salesmanit should be one step down from the door, its 3 inches. when the lumber was delivered he put the ready mix concrete bags on my newly seeded lawn,i called them about it and they said someone would be there to move them, noone came for 4 days. i'm VERY unhappy with them
They need to go back over their work and clean up the outside better.
Once the sales man got the job and the deposit they never called me again which I think is very unprofessional. The installation manager never showed his face at the installation.
Install America was the only one who I would choose. Financing did not come through however, I would highly recommend this company over the other two.
The timeliness was a problem. I suggested that the job Should have been stopped the first as the installers were not doing a professional job. The next day when Tom McMillan around noon he stopped the job. They then had to redo what was already completed. This added to another delay. All in all I'm am satisfied with the overall job and what it cost me. However I'm not sure if I would recommend them to my friends in the future.
