Install America gave the best price of 3 contractors. Their windows appear to perform well. However, the unusual profile makes them look out of place. This was a new installation. The workmen appeared to be inexperienced. They cut a hole "to size" and had to force the windows to fit. They didn't bring the correct trim so decided to install it incorrectly. The windows themselves are wonderful, but I'm unhappy w/installation/installers. Snow made them late; they arrived close to noon and came back 2 days later. Very cold & high winds that day--would have been better to reschedule. One window was installed w/crack in the class; they're coming next week to fix. Workmanship and especially the cleanup were AWFUL. Caulking is very messy--especially in rooms where I don't spend a lot of time--lots of broken glass, insulation, debris, etc. on deck/yard, dings in trim, mud on my carpet... read more
We were very satisfied with the installation and the appearance of the siding. We thank Tom McMillan, the owner, for his follow up in an incident that was resolved to our satisfaction. Yes, I would recommend this company to others.
I signed a contract for installing 13 new windows (standard) in last week of august. Work finally started in Mid nov and got completed in last week of November. Contractor (2 guys) who came for installation was polite and no issues with the work. My biggest complaint is customer service. I have been calling customer service for sending me the glass warranty certificate, screens that were found damaged and everytime they promise that they will send something by UPS or mail and nothing comes. My only comment is, that they took much pride....in installing my windows, but did not clean them, after installation; I would have had a better experience, had I not had to clean them myself. Overall, I do love the windows and the product, yes.

The only real problem was with the salesman.He told that all curtains would not have tobe removed. Not only did they have to be removed for installation,they would fit back into the windows at all.If we would have known this first,we may not have bought the product.So far we reallyt like the windows and sliding door.
The initial response from Install America was quick and they were very courteous and knowledgeable about their windows. However, once the contract was signed, they no longer maintained contact and it was up to us to call to ask when the window measurements would be done and after that, we had to call to ask about a timeframe for the installation. This is on going but so far a nightmare in service. The project has not been started yet. We hired them in May and they still have not got started. We sent them the application for our building permit. They can't find it and we just get a run around for them as where it might be. So far not so good. Updates to follow UPDATE They finally finished the project in 9/09. A 2 week project took 4 months. The service is the worst I have seen. They drugged the feet every step of the way.
