There has been so many break ins at life storage that the staff are lazy, and inconsiderate regarding customers property. There is no accountability regarding the St. Louis locations. Very please be aware of this company do not store your property there and do it work for this company. PLEASE BEWARE!!!!

They sold my stuff without letting me know! No phone call no email. They just sent me an email after they sold my thing already! I was a bit behind my payment dew to some work difficulties, but I called to the office and representative said that I can come to the office to make a payment and that my stuff are safe. A week later I received an email that my stuff are sold and I ve been moved out! This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional! I lost my things which were important to me! I've been a customer with *************************************************************** in **********, ** since 2016 (since before it was even purchased by/rebranded to ExtraSpace). I go there maybe 4 times a year to pack and unpack holiday decorations, and other than that, just pay my bill and have never had any issues.Tonight we went to our storage unit at 8:30pm to start cleaning it out. Alot wrong with this company. Start off with the price of units don't match advertised price and even raise price very often. Second they get into units and move stuff. Lastly in worst case scenario they don't properly notify "tenant" of unit auction and people losing their stuff.

I rented the unit in October 2022 and my rent was ****** plus insurance which made it ****** plus change, not once was I told they could increase the rent. On January 30, 2023, I received a text message stating my rent was ******, I was burying my sister that day, so I called the next week to see what was going on, I was told since I was month to month they could increase my rent. After luring me to move in with a price of 1st unit of $166 dollars and 2nd unit for $266 dollars and keeping my CC on file, not only they forced me to buy an insurance by claiming it wad mandated by law, but I found that they were fraudulently charging me 150 dollars extra each month without my knowledge or permission. When I contacted the headquarters, the rep was extremely rude and offensive and his reply was (well if you didn't notice that we were overcharging you, then who's fault is it) ????. They just don't stop raising the rent. I've had a until for 3 years and it keeps going up. It went up 3 times in 2020-21 alone during the pandemic.

Lack of security at ******************************* Many tenants being stolen from. I lost most of my possessions recently. Extra Space Storage at said location about to receive negative publicity in local media.
