When we arrived there was hardly anyone there and more than 5 open tables outside. I told the manager I had an outdoor reservation and he said it wasn't in the notes and that we would have to wait about 15 minutes or so because those tables were for other reservations. After about 10 minutes, I received a text that the table was ready. (The 5 open tables were still open which was a little frustrating.) We ordered a wing tower and the pretzel bites. Met up for Celtics and Bruins. The hostess, servers, expediters all seemed untrained or lost. Was left thirsty, with cold food, long wait times. Our burgers came without cheese, etc. just bread and meat(no special request). I can’t say I’d return. There are fundamental issues there. I did call the Mgr. Nathan was kind to try and remedy what happened. I would like to honor Mgr Nathan’s attempt to help. Large TV’s, beer was cold, lively crowd.

We go to Jake n’ Joes about twice a year for the past several years and I think I’m ready to throw in the towel. The Greek salad was $18, but was the size of a side salad. Fountain sodas were $3.50, which is obnoxious. The appetizer column at $18 was your choice of three, but the servings of each was 2 or 4. The Mac n’ Cheese, basic was also overpriced. As I said, time to throw in the towel.

This is more an issue for Opentable than Jake and JOES — I reserved for 6:30pm and clearly chose “standard seating” not high top seating. When I check in, the host asks me if I high top is ok. It is NOT ok (I have a 3 year old, it just doesn’t work, and she won’t sit in a high chair). Apparently the seating type does not get transmitted to the restaurant. So we had to wait 25 minutes to get a regular table, with a 3 year old who was barely keeping her patience. This is why I make reservations, so I DON’T have this problem! O... read more

Really liked the atmosphere but the food was average at best. The wings were good but the cape cod reuben was awful because of the very bad coleslaw that was on it. How hard is it to make a good slaw? Not Very! also pricey for what you get

We had horrible service. Cold food. Reserved table and when we got there they didn’t have a table and e had to wait anyways. We didn’t want a high top with the baby so I reserved a regular table but they still gave us a high top. My meal was the same size as my daughters kids meal. Couldn’t get drunk refills. Just one thing after another.
